7 Min Fuzz
Possibly the easiest option to build your first guitar pedal effect! A very respectable fuzz with bare minimum components you wont believe your ears when you hear what this little circuit is capable of! Includes output volume control.
PCB Sizing: 1590a enclosure (no-special hardware required) or larger
• Experimenters PCB Components
The 'Experimenters Kit' adds additional transistors, input caps & diodes in addition to the "Standard PCB components" for experimentation allowing you to customise the 7 min fuzz to your liking. Also included in the experimenter's kit are my beginner notes and explanations on how changing these components effects the output tone of the circuit.
What else do i need to complete this project?
In addition to the parts included in the kit, to make an enclosed pedal you will need:
- 1 x 1590a enclosure
- 1 x 3pdt footswitch
- 1 x knob to fit a 6mm potentiometer
- 1 x 6.35mm mono input socket
- 1 x 6.35mm stereo output socket (also acts as a switch for the battery)
Optional Parts:
Note: to be compatible with most guitar pedal power supplies, it is recommended to use a jack with positive voltage on the outer shell, and negative on the centre pin.
