The LED torch uses a white 5000mCd ultra bright LED. Power is supplied by an N size 12 volt battery, which is included in the kit. The torch comes complete with a slide on off switch.

With just four parts the kit makes a great introduction to electronics.

Great service and support

I am working with Yr 5 Students. They will use the circuit to create a mini torch, the main emphasis for this piece of work will be the packaging of that product. We are developing their communication skills - I have used Kitronik kits before, always well produced - durable!!! - which is really important when working with novice soldering iron users.

The support from the sales team is excellent. Any concerns (or stupid questions - even from a Design Tech teacher!) are dealt with promptly and graciously.

We are also using the light sensing circuit with Yr 6 students.

An easy recommendation.

Perfect little light kit

I’d been looking around for a small light for a printed model of a medical device. This one was easy for me as a beginner and very light, simplifying counterbalance in a rotating component. I also like that the kit doesn’t use a button cell battery
