A straightforward 6.35 mm (¼″) panel-mount audio jack socket, available in mono (TS) and stereo (TRS) variants.
Both versions include switching contacts (normally-closed lugs) that can be used for functions such as battery disconnects, signal muting, or automatic routing when a plug is inserted — making them ideal for use in effects pedals, guitars, amplifiers, and general electronics projects.
When switching is not required, the jacks can also be used as simple unswitched sockets by wiring only the main tip, ring (stereo version), and sleeve terminals and leaving the switch lugs unconnected.
The mono (TS) version provides tip and sleeve connections for standard guitar signals, while the stereo (TRS) version provides tip, ring, and sleeve connections for stereo audio, balanced signals, or auxiliary connections.
