10 Min Dirt & Boost

This is an excellent option for a beginner build! The 10 Min Dirt & Boost includes a volume control and clean boost/dirty switch, a versatile effect that sounds great on its own or 'plays nice' when overdriving other effects or your amp!

Dimensions: 19mm x 19mm

PCB Sizing: 1590a enclosure (no-special hardware required) or larger

Kit Options

Please select the options above, that you would like included with your PCB:

•   PCB Components
"PCB Components" includes all onboard components you need to build the "10 Min Dirt & Boost". Battery snap is included as well as 6 lenghts of wire. Also includes, LED, current limiting resistor ("medium" brightness) and plastic bezel for mounting the led to an enclosure. 10m dirt and boost component kit also includes the toggle switch.

•   9mm Potentiometer
Add a 9mm Alpha metal shaft potentiometer to your kit!

What else do i need to complete this project?

To mount your project in an enclosure, other things you will need (not included) are:

  • Miniature DC Jack (unswitched)

These DC jacks are very small and are suitable for any build not using a battery / battery switching. Especially good for 1590a builds as they are very compact. These are available here.

  • Mono Jacks (x2)

These jacks are small in size, a good choice for tight builds and beginners but can be used for any build. Please note you will need a stereo jack if you plan to power your effect with a battery.

  • 3PDT latching On-On pedal footswitch

A three-pole double-throw (3PDT) switch acts like 3 single pole switches, with On-On referring to having two options to connect each of the 3 wires.

  • Aluminium Enclosure

You can actually use anything to house your pedal, as long as nothing is short-circuited and everything fits; however an aluminium enclosure is a good solid choice and offers good protection. As Paul describes in the video below, this project will fit in a 1590A sized enclosure, but if it is your first project or you need more room, use a 1590B. For more information on enclosure sizes, there is a video here.
