Josh from Premier State Ghostbusters in Sydney made this seriously cool working replica of the remote trap RC vehicle from Ghostbusters Afterlife! It uses the Kitronik actuator mounted inside, to quickly flip open the doors on top. As with their other endeavours, this looks pretty accurate and Josh tells us that it will be running in the parade at Camden, in front of a full-size vehicle.
In terms of the design, Josh explained:
"I purchased one of your mini linear actors and used it with a programmable digital radio to operate the doors.
I thought you'd like to see it in action.
The doors are not connected to the actuator, rather flipped open by it, this will allow me to manually open the doors to turn the electrics on and off.
They'll close using a mini over center bob weight on the doors later."
